Thanks.

Nope. Neighbours across the road have same stairwell and it really makes it claustrophobic.... Unless there's some sort of kick ass, low profile modern option available.... then I'd consider it. We'll see... :)

Those tiles look very nice!! ... are they natural stone, porcelain, ceramic?? Do you remember the make, name, code??? thanks

Looks great! I gotta admit, I wasn't sold on the idea of tile on stairs, but you did a good job with it!

You missed the most critical question in all tile jobs. How are your knees? !

I think they're ceramic... might be porcelain. Can't for the life of me remember, but a call to the tile store and I can have them look up the company info/numbers for you if you're seriously interested.

Well, I no longer can walk and am ripping out the stairs now so that I can get a wheelchair ramp put in.

;)

My knees were so sore afterwards. Lowenbrau conveniently came up to help with the project on a weekend where he couldn't bend his knees so I ended up doing all the kneeling work (coincidence, I think not)... and in retrospect I wish I had stopped to go get a set of knee pads.

Ok, now I know you really did lay the tile! My effin knees are toast after a few tile projects in the past. I'm thinkin stained concrete for the future~

Nice work on the tile. It looks great.

I hear ya with the knees. Mine were killing me laying my bamboo floor until I got knee pads.
