Hi i was wondering fi there is a a DIY for changing the stabilizer bar bushings for n lx470. I used the search function but nothing came up. I plan on using these Buy Energy Suspension Polyurethane Sway Bar Bushings for 3/4" Dia. Bar; 2 Bushings and Brackets - Red 9.5156R at Advance Auto Parts got them for free from someone who worked there. If it is something i can't do i might just bring it to the shop that charges 70 bucks an hour in labor rates, any idea on how much they might charge? Sorry for all the stupid questions and thanks in advance

I haven't done them on my LC, but they were easy to do in my 4Runner and Tacoma.

Also, I would suggest getting OEM rubber bushings. Those polyurethane bushings tend to ovalize and not last as long as the rubber ones. Just my experience.

I think i might just have my friend do it. The rear e brakes are seized up to from rust and stuff i guess, so i'll just have him take care of both at the same time.

I would give him a hand at the minimum... Thise is a really easy job as long as the rust isnt too bad. One of the bolts on the front broke on mine when doing this and I had to pull the t-bar to get the old bolt out..... other than that my 3 yr old could do it..... but she already knows how to change the tires.....

Edit:

Reason I suggest giving a hand is so you can learn how easy these rigs are to work on..... It can be a daunting task to jump in on.... but once you get your feet wet it is amazing how easy it is.

I looked up under there, i just don't have any real tools and the rust looks relatively bad on the bolt so idk, i am not a mecahnical person, car has been dealer serviced since new haha. But i do pay attention when he's working when i stay, sometimes i just leave the car. Thanks for everyones help. I was going through the service records, this will be the second set of pivots since the first ones seized up on the emergency brakes, and they have again
