DIY Roof Lining Options?

New member but long time reader of IH8MUD.

I'm currently rebuilding a 1989 HJ75 (2H) and am after ideas on DIY roof lining.

Looking at putting some kind of insulation in too as I live in the tropical heat of Far North Queensland, Australia.

Has anyone done their own insulation/lining?

I can buy a new lining online for about $150+postage, however am interested in what other people have done.

Just finished painting yesterday and now it's time to put this jigsaw puzzle back together!

If you use that stuff which is adhesive backed and put it on the roof, make sure the adhesive can handle the temps. Your roof in Aussie will get really hot ! I would imagine if you are putting your original lining up that filling the airgap with non itch insulation like that used in sleeping bags would work?

I'm eventually doing this on my roof, trans tunnel and firewall. Additionally I'll add the sound control spray. Not sure if it's available in NZ.
