Had crazy blue/gray puffs blowing late summer last year, and early fall. Feared the worst, and everything engine related seemed fine. Then one day, I randomly lost all power steering...and kept losing fluid. The random gray blue smoking was random, and would go from barely to heavy.

Long story short, had well worn and leaky 200k mile 20 year old power steering lines, and the power steering Air Control Valve were past their prime. Took to the dealer, mentioned this, and it was exactly the issue. Power steering fluid vs. engine was the issue, and it's been perfect since. Thousands of miles, and a cross country trip, have never even seen exhaust anything.
