What's up Mudders? BigMike from MC here. Our new Warehouse expansion has been turning up some nice used parts that we've been moving quite well on our Discounted Parts Page since early summer, and we've slowly been amassing some hard to find Land Cruiser parts that I'd like to share below!

Brand-new ToyBox 4.70:1 Kit for SM420 GM Transmission

This is big! We have three brand-new 4.70:1 SM420-to-ToyBox kits!

This is only our MC20 front adapter + 4.70:1 gear set; We do not have the MC21 or MC22 adapters to mate a 3- or 4-speed Land Cruiser t/case behind the ToyBox. I don't even remember the last time we had these MC20 plates available for sale so this is a great find for the right project.

These kits allow a 1979-1995 Gear Drive Toyota Transfer Case to be mounted behind a GM SM420 4-speed transmission, and feature our 4.70:1 Competition ToyBox Gear Set designed for use with a SM420.

This kit is popular with short wheel base vehicles using a center rear end as follows: Engine > SM420 > 4.70:1 Toyota Gear Drive T/Case > Center Rear End + Right-hand Front End.

A common use is in short wheelbase rigs. You can now have a 7.05:1 transmission + 4.70:1 single t/case. Combined with, for example, a 4.88:1 R&P, you'll have a Crawl Ratio of 162:1 in a single transfer case short wheelbase FJ40 Land Cruiser or CJ5 Jeep!

Downey 4L60-E Automatic Adapter Kit

This is a very popular and long-since discontinued Downey adapter kit that mates a 23-spline top shifting gear drive mini-truck transfer case behind a GM 4L60-E 4-speed automatic transmission.

The required transfer case will be a 1979-1995 4cyl gear drive t/case converted to either a 1979-83 or 1985-88 EFI top-shift style with a 1986-87 23-spline Turbo Input Gear, available separately.

The adapter plate was bolted to a reduction housing but removed in our shop. It has never been put in service and is in very good condition. We have one kit available!

Downey TH350 Automatic Adapter Kit

This is a new, very popular and long-since discontinued Downey adapter kit that mates a 23-spline top shifting gear drive mini-truck transfer case behind a GM Turbo-Hydramatic 350 3-speed automatic transmission.

The required transfer case will be a 1979-1995 4cyl gear drive t/case converted to either a 1979-83 or 1985-88 EFI top-shift style with a 1986-87 23-spline Turbo Input Gear, available separately.

Never been installed. We have two kits available!

Used SM465 to 16-spline Land Cruiser T/Case Adapter Kit

We have a used SM465-to-Land Cruiser 16-spline 4-speed t/case (1974-80 FJ40/FJ55) kit refurbished by Marlin himself and in good condition.

Everything is included except for basic 3/8-inch mounting hardware (to attach to SM465) and silicone, available separately.
