Disconnected battery and the navigation does not work.

I disconnected and removed the battery from the car for about four hours to clean up some battery acid spill and corrosion. I reconnected the battery and the navigation works, the map shows all the local streets however I am unable to find any of my local searches. The only addresses that do come up are cities I've never heard of.

Any thoughts?

If its like mine, your search area has changed. Try hitting destination and a screen should pop up with a map of the U.S. showing 10 different regions. Just hit change and go to your local region. If you still have a problem just PM me and I can talk you thru it.
