Per this video: on newer Lexuses and Toyotas you can hold down the Lock button on your fob, and then while pressing it down, you can tap the Unlock button twice -- and that will disable your key fob until you hit another button on the key fob.
That works on my newer Lexus (wife's car).
When I go jogging at some trails I can just disable the key fob, then hide it around the vehicle somewhere and don't have to worry about someone walking up and grabbing the handle and even starting the car because the fob is in proximity.
But I have a 2010 GX 460 and that sequence doesn't work. Was this not available on that old of a car or was it a different sequence? Anybody know?
Thanks!
