Wanted Direct Drive Starter B Diesel BJ40 1977

Looking for a direct drive starter with a nine tooth pinion gear. Will accept a rebuildable unit.

BTW, this is a 12 volt application. I have been told a 2.5Kwh 3b gear reduction starter will work if a nine pinion gear is installed instead of the std 11 tooth pinion. Any suggestions?

Gear reduction starters lay over to far to the side and hit the frame rail. I personally have never been able to fit one.
Anyone else?
Lets get this fella back on the road!

Thanks for any suggestions. I'm trying one more time to see if the armature can be replaced but I'm not holding my breath. The outer diamater of the direct drive starter is 36mm as opposed to 30mm for the gas direct drive starter, so it is a big heavy beast.

HELP_ Bosch Part Number

I still need a starter! Does anyone know the Bosch Part Number for this starter? The starter body is scratched up and it is hard to read any identifying information.
