It appears that the coils for ahc changed in 2016.
Does anyone know what was changed? Are they slightly uprated?

The rear coils stayed the same.It appears rhat the front strut is the same part between the 2015 and 2016…though the coil the strut resides in is a different part.
Would someone with a 2016 care to measure the thickness of their coils? I suspect Toyota/Lexus may have increased the spring rate in 2016…those coils may, if that is the case, be an “easy button” uprated capacity coil for pre 2016 lx570’s
It’s looking like one of my coils has weakened over time and could be causing the vehicle to lean. You know you can edit your posts, right? That way you can keep the info organized and save people time reading.
I doubt you get a lot of upgraded capacity by switching OEM to OEM coils only in the front. Why are you looking to do this replacement?
Yeah I agree. I purchased the brand new takeoffs for $190.I suggest you go with the available part!
If they are uprated I'll be putting a set on my LX when I get around to doing the 0.5" spacer later this year. Might as well do it all while you have the AHC depressurized.
If you can, measure the spring rates, that would be useful info for us all to have.Yeah I agree. I purchased the brand new takeoffs for $190.
Just the right rear spring would be like $180 alone so I figure even if I can only use the rear springs from the 2021 takeoff’s, it was worth it.
If I’m lucky, the front springs will be slightly thicker than what I have and thus be “uprated”/enhanced for my bull bar, winch, etc.
Regardless, I’ll be measuring all the springs, old and new, for spring rate as best I can.
