I have done some searching and can only find one diff skid. I was wondering if any one else but trail gear make a diff skid? I nailed my front diff plug on a rock when wheeling on Coney Flats, no severe damage but want to protect them. Also looking for one for the rear.

Sewer pipe cap mod? (or something like that)

For the front, pretty much anything will fit if it works for a 8" Toy axle. And anything would work with a few little modifications....maybe less maybe more work than getting the sewer cap deal cut up to work.

Heres the one I bitched up for the 04 elock taco axle under my 00 taco. Mostly made out of 1/4" with a 1/2" "bumper" across the back. Its held on with "sectioned" U bolts and straps with a more intricate strap around the pinion. Sticks out past the pinion flange and kinda protects the u joint to boot.

Theres a bunch of different ones on ttora.com, for tacos anyways.

Heres mine.

8" pipe cap from mcmastercarr. Cut it in half and notch the cut for fill hole clearance and trim the bottom for gunk drainage. Then weld on.
