Hi all,
Just a quick little write-up here. There will be another post coming regarding some additional goodies, but for now just wanted to show the diff breather I installed. Camelback Toyota (Phoenix, AZ) ran some 7/32 OEM vacuum hose for me for all the breathers (two on the transmission, one on the transfer case, and one on each differential up to the engine bay.
The simple reason for this is due to leaking seals in my ARB air lockers shooting oil up the solenoids. Don't quote me here, but from what I found this may be due to the factory check valves only releasing pressure at 5psi, but it only takes about 2-3 psi to blow oil through a seal. So, for whatever it's worth, hope this helps and it was a simple and inexpensive process for them to run the lines for me.
The Air-On-Board "Deluxe" breather manifold (link below) comes with PU hose and fittings, but as Toyota ran vacuum hose I had to find another solution. I found some "1/8" BSP Male Thread 6mm Brass Hose Barb Coupler Fittings" on eBay that worked perfectly! Had to make a little mount for it, but an extra brake controller bracket did the trick
. The "standard" manifold may have been better, but I like the look of the CNC'd "deluxe" unit.
