Diesel Safe NPT Thread Sealant (1 Viewer)

I'm plumbing in a Racor 400 series filter housing on my BJ73 to act as a fuel water separator when using biodiesel. I've been reading up on thread sealant for the 3/8 NPT fittings on the housing and my head is spinning. Looks like everything from Permetex No. 2 or 3, Gasoila E-Seal, Locktite 592, etc has been mentioned. What are you guys using? I just want to do this once and do it right.

Any fuel supply shop will have fuel rated pipe thread sealant. At work we always try to keep the first 1/3 of the thread clean from sealant so it doesn’t end up in the fuel supply if that makes sense.
