There is a small hose pipe in my car, near the engine top cover. The mechanic is calling it diesel return pipe. It had a cut, so we put another pipe. However, the new pipe is not the same diameter as the old one. It is too narrow and tight inside, and was inserted with a lot of struggle.

Now, i am hearing some faint rattling engine noise when i start driving from cold - yet the noise was not there before.

I am fearing that the narrow pipe may be causing the issue. Could anyone share some insights on my fears?

Hey, glad to hear your rig is still going.

Switch over to the section below and post to get more help from diesel owners. Most folks in 100 series section have 2UZ Petrol motor
