Who got it?

Nobody. I emailed him using the address Al provided.

Here is the response I got:

The vehicle is still for sale - I pulled the ad due to the number of replies. The radiator is cracked and the engine is flooded with coolant - the vehicle will start and run (roughly) but from seeing this thing before, my guess was that the vehicle overheated and cracked either the head or the block. I can only assume that the engine will need to be replaced. This vehicle was one that we reposessed - I work for a title loan company in Fort Mill so other than this I know nothing else about the vehicle. Due to repossession laws I can not sell the vehicle until 12-26 but I will hold the vehicle until then for someone who wants to pay in advance. The customer will not be redeeming the vehicle but of course we will refund the money if by some chance they do. Asking price is $1,500. The guy who reposessed it did say that the transmission seemed to be okay. He drove about a quarter mile before he hooked it to his truck. I do not know about the specifics of the four wheel drive system - at the time I took the pics I did not have the key to look inside. If you wish to go check out the vehicle call me at 704-771-4553 and ask for Justin.

Like Al said its clean. I'll see if I can figure out how to post the pics.

You got a much better response than me. I was getting one or two word replies from him over the course of about 15 emails.

That's a clean looking truck for that price. Has there been any indication of the interior condition?

No i'm still waiting on him to send me some pics of the interior.

I am interested in the whole thing but am 7000 miles away for another month or so. I don't have any problems making a long distance deal but want more info. If any of you have interior pics or have seen it personally, let me know what you think. I am not confident in my chances, but you never know, I may get lucky. How much to replace the engine and radiator?

I saw an engine for 500 a few weeks ago up in PA and I got my radiator for 150 shipped to my door. You could probably sell a couple parts off of the other engine if they are good and your donor comes with them and be in the whole rig for about less than 2K. Sounds like he is willing to deal.

I tried to call Justin with SKYPE but he didn't answer and I don't have a number for him to call back on...

I received a response from him this morning stating that he has a buyer coming to pick it up Saturday but if for some reason the buyer backs out I was next in line. I hope the other buyer backs out!!!

???

Well off to Fort Mill this morning with trailer in tow to pick up the 80. No one has ssen the interior of this vehicle and now I know why. The interior was in really bad condition but I have a whole interior out of my crashed 80 that would have worked but the wiring harness had been hacked into with wires running everywhere in the car and switches that I do not even know what they were for. It appeared to have been wiring for a sound system that was done very poorly. Turns out the engine and tranny are bad, maybe just the head gasket for the engine who knows. It was just in too bad of shape for my liking.

I did not buy it!!! It was too rough.

Did he say what his bottom dollar was?

I need both axles (even unlocked) and LOTS of body panels:hillbilly:.
