I searched, and was surprised to not find anything useful.

I took my truck wheeling yesterday, and discovered that it is not wide enough! and I discovered that I was not the first person to get some damage on the rear qtr panels.

Instead of really fixing the paint and creases, I am thinking that I will "up-armor" the sides of this rig w/ diamond plate. Definitely the rear quarters, but maybe also the doors and front quarters.

will also be obtaining:
spacers
wider tires (12.5")
rock sliders

basically, i want a relatively dent-proof side. most of the trails here are deep, with your sides rubbing on clay and rocks.

**you should have seen how that 12h-t with fr/rear lockers just CRAWLED up the hill:steer:. too bad it was sliding along the wall:crybaby:

i think most on here would say... don't do it! depending on the condition of your 61..

others say its your rig do what you want..

don't know how bad the rear quarters are beat up but there are replacement ones that can be welded in that are a lot stronger/thicker steel - that is as much as I know though.. sorry.

i'd wait till you damaged what you got, then worry about it.

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

that's the thing...I did damage the rear quarters, taillights, and got a nice dent/scratches on the driver door.

no one else thought of turning thier rig into a tank before? I can't believe that...or am i just that crazy?:)
