ok does anyone know what size wrench fits the recovery tube(?) from the intake to the egr crap at the bottom/side of the motor. and also if it can even come off the manifold without pulling the manifold? i just finally got done changing the manifold gaskets and that particular tube when it bolts to the manifold had 2 gaskets and me thinking "why the fxxx did they do that?" put it all back together with one gasket. so YAAAAAAY. still have a small exhaust leak, right there.
go ahead and sling mud now i can hack it and so can my 60

I hated doing that job!!

What part are you asking about? The EGR tube that goes from the manifold to the cooler on the side of the block has a huge bolt that I ended up loosening with a big cresent wrench. There is no room to get any throw so its a PITA! Yes, you can pull the tube and cooler together as a unit. I think there is only one gasket up where the EGR tube meets the manifold, but it falls apart into two pieces. Make sure the leak isn't comming from the weld on the EGR tube, thats the most common place it leaks, which can fool you into thinking its the gasket (don't ask how I know).

I want to say its 33mm, its a big un though, I had to make one out of another open end wrench by griding it bigger, then cuttting off 1/2 the handle.

I'll see if I can find my wrench and measure it.

that would be awesome pimp. and i was just thinking about cutting the handle of something to get in their.
its just frustrating cuz it was kind of big job and certainly a pain in the ass to do and everything but this one little thing be right.
and thanks guys i was seriously thinking about cutting the fxxxer and then welding it back. but now that i KNOW it will come off without pulling manifolds again im cool
