Hey all,

I am looking to get some dent work done all around the cruiser some larger than others as well as my hood and roof have some clear coat peeling and I wanted to get opinions or suggestions on what to do down here in San Diego. Ive hear of people going to TJ to get a great deal but don't know where to start. Id love any help/advice/fedback!

Could I get a neighborhood that y’all paid and what you had done?

On one of my 62's with cargo, hatch and windshield out and weatherstrip replaced and some very minor dent repair/ body work was $2700 - that was three coat paint and three coat clearcoat. The other was less paint and less body work but still window out ran under $2K. Both of my 62's came out beautiful. You're welcome to come check out the work on my remaining 62 in Encinitas just shoot me a DM.

Dont seem like bad prices? I need scratch repair and a new clear coat on the LX, and have a prius with body damage that would be nice to get fixed cheaper than domestic prices.

I used El Mago in Vista. I supplied the paint and Junior did the minor body work and spray. Total was 1k. I thought it was well worth it. 760-978-4971
He also did my sunroof delete about 2 years ago and it is still going strong.

I currently have the river rock green 100 series land cruiser, I would love to go towards a more grey true color and the river rock already looks grey, would that be too much of a change? what type of paint does yall recommend? want something durable and long-lasting. Is changing colors not worth it at all? or is it a lot more work etc.?

To do a color change that looks good you would need to do all the door jams and ideally shoot the engine bay as well. Is a ton more work to do it right. Any of the name brand paints is good. BASF, PPG. Sherman Williams. I would do a base coat/ clear coat.
