For those of you that didn't know this, we are changing this December's meeting to the 14th to allow us more time for Donations for our annual Haven House Charity. The 14th is the 2nd Thursday and we will resume the 3rd Thursday in January. Butch usually handles all the specifics on the Haven House Charity so I will let him post up on how and when we will deliver.

My father was one of the founders, and how we got involved.......
Haven house is a non demoninational group that owns a home in Bonham that is used for emergency shelter for anyone battered women, victims of fire, families that are traveling and have car trouble etc........it is non funded except by fund raising by the members and donations....no goverment or corporation dollars.....each Christmas they supply gifts and food for around 60 families in our area, all specific to the needs of the individual, and wrapped........Lone Star Land Cruisers is the largest donor, and have been for 3 yrs.

Would it make sense to put some information about Haven House on the website for the casual visitor who might take notice and donate offhand?

Those that have been at the Haven House when we give the donation will understand when I say, we receive much more from giving this gift, than is possible for me to relate in words.........
