Did this part of the CABDR in 02/22 and can't wait to hit this trail again!

We will be completing Sections 5 to the start of Section 7:

I'm a maybe, unfortunately. I have a home improvement project around that time frame, so I can't commit just yet. I understand the need to have a finite number of trucks for logistics purposes (camp site space available, time on trail, etc...), so I will completely understand if it fills up before I can commit. Whether I make it on this trip, or not, I'm sure it will be a great trip!

I know the trip is over a month off, but surfpig reported 8' of snow on the south pass to Saline Valley. I'm sure Hunter Mountain road is no better right now.

This may be of concern depending on how March weather goes ?

At the end of the month or early April I will most likely be checking in with Eastern sierra 4 wheel drive club members?

Death valley trip update . After monitoring conditions within the np. And Due to the epic winter season (still ongoing) in the eastern sierra . And death valley national park areas that have been affected by this winter. As well as last summer's flash flooding . Per Death valley NP website, Titus cyn is currently closed( Along with many other roads& trails) . The mountain passes that we would need to get through, Which are most likely under numerous feet of snow and trail conditions could be hazardous as well . We have decided for an alternate overlanding (historic Mojave trail & other trails within the preserve) trip . Below is the itinerary . Travel dates are still the same.

I planning on leaving the San Gabriel Valley at 9 if anyone is leaving the SGV wants to caravan. Anyone coming from the OC who wants to caravan, we can meet up in Barstow before turning onto the 40. I plan on getting to Laughlin around 1-130 to get in a round of golf at Mojave Resort or Las Lagos Golf Club (if anyone else is interested in joining, let me know).

A sneak peak of what we will be doing can be seen on these videos:
(0:00-4:05)
From the NY Mtns, we will pick up on the CABDR to Tecopa/DV - (27:03-45:00)

Brandon will be meeting up with us Thurs night at the Avi and Andree will be meeting up with us at Fri night at camp.

The planned path can be seen highlighted in Orange.

It doesn't look like I'll be able to make this trip, but look forward to future ones. Safe travels, all!
