For PMC friends interested, Jpr Ron, Phil and I will be returning to Death Valley in late April, targeting the Southern end of the park (Panamint Valley, Goler Wash, Mengal Pass). This is looking like a Friday thru Monday trip although our 3rd night will be spent along the Eastern Sierra Hwy 395 (TBD) heading home.

This is a mini truck/Runner/Wagon overland expedition type run including various off shoots into canyons and ruins along the way requiring 4 wheel and high ground clearance.

Plan is rendezvous in Big Pine around noon Friday, enter the park to Panamint Springs, take Panamint Valley road to Ballarat. Hit some ruins to camp that night. Saturday run P Valley road to and thru Goler Wash towards Mengal Pass and camp. Sunday drop into Devil's gold course and exit park for 395 N. Spend final night near Mammoth area (new area to be explored) and easy travel home Monday.

If you are interested (and actually know at least one of us), please feel free to join us on this epic DV run. Very good tires and spare in working order are required, radio is handy if you get lost like Jpr Ron, and 5 gallons of extra fuel is strongly recommended. Oh, Phil notes an extra spark plug is always handy too.

(Dave, please add to the 2017 calendar so we can make this an official club type run including benefits of 8.)

I was hoping you would join us Rolando. We look forward to your jovial attitude, desire to help, and tamales grande. :)

At this time, Plan on meeting Friday, 3 nights, some cold weather and returning home Monday.

So this isn't something a little red 40 with hardtop could handle? I might be interested. Will you be at the meeting Tony?

Sure... but I do suggest some trailering as the trek will probably have more freeway miles than dirt miles.

No meeting for me, but you can chat with Jpr Ron.

Awesome.

We'll be in touch...trailering has been considered heavily, however little red is a capable little machine to travel across this great state of Kalifornia. If I can keep up with Rolando while he's wearing mud tires on our next Pillsbury Mud Run....ya just never know...

Hello all,
I haven't met any one from your club but I did pay a visit to your swap meet a couple years ago. Is it a possibility that I may join you for the DV adventure? I've had my I on mengal pass for a couple years now. Have done several other areas of DV a couple years ago. I drive a stock 77 pig (small lift) that is set up for overlanding and in good working condition.
If this is a private, no worries, not offended, I understand.
Cheers
Gordobe

Death Valley 4-1-17 to 4-23-17.
Tony and others, I do plan on doing the Death Valley run, but I see no talk about the trib since the March meeting. Is it still on? I will be towing the 77 fj40 with my RV, Camping in the Panamint springs rv park on thursday and Sunday and plan on being with the group on Friday and saturday.
So if It works for the group, after they meet at Big pine, can the group pull over at Panamint and pick me up?
I do have some towing rigging work to do so I would appreciate some one getting back to me so I have time to prepare.
Thanks, Paul
