Bob - are you going to be around for the TLCA meeting tonight? Erik lined me up as I am the alternate, but if you are available you wanna handle it? Let me know.

Chris,

Sorry, I didn't get a chance to check mud yesterday. I went to bed early last night since I had to be up at 1am to babysit a software upgrade. Hope you were able to represent us.

Now if you ask Bob? he'll just tell you not to follow me and you'll be alright in not bending a tie rod.

I listened, didn't really have anything to add. A lot better meeting than the ones I was involved with a few years ago!

Yes, I know well to not follow you or Chris - I remember the state of Chris's rig even before the Garden earlier this year. My idea for the hi steer came from:
1. Your giving me a hard time about the state of my power steering set up.
2. Protection - as you take issue with.
3. This should improve the angle of rods to where I actually have better turning radius. You will remember the rather sharp angle of the rods from pitman arm to wheels. By making the rods more parallel to ground I should increase steering capability (half inch or so) if my geometry memory is correct.

Now it may also be true that a 4" lift will take care of this itself without additional hi steer arms. I am figuring the current six inch shackles on flat suspension means net result of little lift, but will wait until new HFS is installed to see reality. Anyway, 4x4 labs arms are around $300 so not that expensive. If I don't need them, then that will go for locker. Thanks for input. By the way, tank has been "repaired" before, but too far gone according to radiator shop, to quarantee fix. I have ordered plastic replacement from cool cruisers, less than $200 to not blow up. Sounds like a good deal to me.
Hope all had a great time at Tuttle- beautiful weekend!
