The new garden has finally been named..Punisher :cool: the middle section has a tendency to punish rigs, if you take the hardest line. The day of the Krawl it took out both my front axle u-joints at once, swapped shafts and u-joints the next morning and took a go at it again and promptly sheared a stub shaft in the same place, I guess I'm just a glutton for punishment :D
 
Aw shucks, thought we would make people puzzle for a couple of days, We are bringing the mini-truck to the run. I am picking it up from rob's today. Not completely done, but ready for the week-end.
 
I have been asured that I will have the correct flanges in the morning.... :) :)
I will bring eggs and soft shells for breakfast burritos.
 
Don't have course flanges at the shop.. Found 2 fine tho !

Will be there.. Thurs evening. Wheeling Friday, WIll have to leave Sat am early, but.. Here's the fun part.. My trucks staying and wheeling with Eric Butler and family so in a sense.. I'll still be there on Saturday.. you can holler for Eric instead of Erik.. And my truck will participate but I won't..
Sorry, emergency came up with work for Saturday.. I'll bring shirts.. Eric Butler will be bringing back what you all don't buy.. GAME ON! still just a small setback!
 
Looks like I will have to work until at least noon on Fri. :mad: Hope to leave KC around 1pm and be at Tuttle around 3:30 or so.
 
Didn't find any course spline pinion flanges.. Sorry.. Didn't have much time to look been busy with "stuff"..
Truck's loaded on trailer in parking lot here at work.. Zane scared me in rushhour this morning! Hear a blazin horn right next to me! See everyone @ Tuttle..
 
headed out to load tools and fluids....just in case..this our first long trip in the pig...groceries later than a pre flight tonight and jake and i will head for tuttle in the am...jake suggested a slow moving vehicle sign for the rear...i assured him we would be fine without it!

i have the maps requested!

Okay, I'm running a bit behind this week......what's left to bring for food, beer or whatever. Just me this trip, anyone have room for a snorer? Hate to drag my big dome tent up there for just me.

I'm planning on hotlinks, tortillas and beer
 
Well, I'm missing out again. Made the mistake of taking the cruiser in to the shop to check on a gas smell that has been getting stronger as of late. Gas tank leak onto the floorboard. So its in process of being torn apart, broken bolts and all being part of the course to see how bad the leak is. Better than turning into a fireball on the freeway on the way to Tuttle. You folks have fun, in addition to fixing the tank, my winter projects include HFS 4" lift, with 4x4 lab high steer arms. No, no locker yet.

Mike,

I can bring my son's small tent. It leaks a little if it rains a lot, but it's quick to set up and take down.

I don't have to sleep sit'n up do I :D That'll work! Don't think it's supposed to rain til Sunday and thats only a 30% chance.

Well, it ain't the frigging taj mahal, but it'll keep the dew off ya. :D If I remember right, it's like 7x7.
 
Does anyone have a SWR meter they can bring? Found a CB in my basement a couple of days ago and just got an antenna today. I assume it will work to some degree however it is tuned.
 
Charlie.. I need to know why you are going with HySteer. It's a nice setup but un-necessary in your current configuration. I would use that money on a rear lockright or aussie locker etc.. And camping fees instead of a hysteer system. Considering it's taken Chris and I about 20 combined years to bend 2 tie rods on our trucks I don't think that's gonna be the issue.. Now if you ask Bob? he'll just tell you not to follow me and you'll be alright in not bending a tie rod.

Really, if your not sprung over they why hysteer? You have power steering yet etc . I just don't want to see you spend money on un-necessary stuff when it could be better directed.
And for safety sake make sure your relay rod will clear in a spring under configuration with hysteer. If your sole purpose is moving the tie rod behind the axle, it's over rated and better use of your funds would be elsewhere. Ok I'll shut up now.. EC
If you want my help going thru a pro's and con's of any mod please holler.. I can also help with a priority list of how to get your truck to where you wanna go with it quick, easy and sometimes cheaply! :)

Bob - are you going to be around for the TLCA meeting tonight? Erik lined me up as I am the alternate, but if you are available you wanna handle it? Let me know.
