Day Ride Vinton County Etc

Hey guys,

Does anyone want to go on a Day Ride to Vinton County? I would like to get one more wheeling trip in this year before the weather gets really crummy. I think vinton county would be fine or some other place reatively close. I don't know the area but maybe one of the guys that has wheeled before would go.

I'm thinking either november 4th or 11th

We are going down to wheel there the Saturday after Thanksgiving...soonest I can get out and same with Vince.

I'm in a heavy mod mode right now and will have everything done in the next couple weeks.

If my samurai makes it that long that would be fun. I almost got creamed twice yesterday and once on Saturday. OSU Students and Fans are totoal idiots on the road. Maybe i need to paint my sami OSHA day glow orange so people see me.

My new job has my weekends basically fawked. My day's off are Mondays and Tuesdays. So unless you guys are going on any of those days, I'm out.

That said, I have both Christmas day and New Year's Day off. Anyone want to wheel those days?

Yes, need a knuckle job and swap on the front suspension. The Ironman frt suspension is removed from the parts truck and piled in front of the shop. One shackle is slightly boogered, everything else came right off: pins, shocks, steer stabilizer....

23 South to 50 East to McArthur, Ohio.

South East...

2 hours at cruiser speeds. Or Yotas on big ass tires.

Yes, it's our private land though. If you don't mind the cold..we can arrange a ride down there that you could easily do.

It's about 10 miles south of Lancaster. By FJ40Jim actually. That's the closest you'll find that I'm aware of at least...legal.

There's some real easy fun stuff near Tar Hollow S.P. It's old township roads, slightly challenging for a stock jeep.

That's about as close & easy as it gets.

PS. There was old strip mines all around New Lexington that were given to DNR as state hunting/game lands. Plenty of easy running around there. But I haven't been out there for ~7 years.

Not sure on the get together...it would be nice. We do have to schedule an official meetin' though for the first of the year.
