I was replacing my dash light bulbs and decided that I want to eventually replace the various screws holding the dash on with the correct ones (next time I have it apart).

Could I get a sanity check on the various coarse screws that hold the plastic surrounds to the dashboard?

I want to toss a handful of dash screws into my next online order. I'm missing a couple of fasteners and what is in there now is probably a mishmash of random sized fasteners from prior owners.

I looked it up on Partssouq:

This looks like one of the screws used around the surround and center dash panel (a total of 11 of them): 93568-55014

And three of these along the lower kick panel - 93568-55018:

Are the four screws that hold the cluster in the dash also the same part as one of these? I can find the "meter" diagram, but it doesn't show the screws.

I ask because I have several different screws on mine, but I have no idea if they are right.

Am I missing any?

They look to be 93568-55014
4 required. I loaded up on 93568-55014 the last time I ordered.

93568-55018 appear to be a longer version of 93568-55014

From memory, some of these screws go into pressed metal threaded clips also, or plastic grommets/clips. ( square yellow grommet from memory)
May be a good idea to try to find some clips and grommets, or substitutes

Some plastic panels use metal clips to clip to another plastic panel. They can get loose too

There's also some m5 threaded bolts, but they are probably less likely to have been messed with.

A while back, i swapped out most the dash in a 90 4runner. PO had used all sorts of random wood screws and wallered out plastic screw grommets and metal screw clips. Trying to get some screws in was like throwing a sausage down the hallway.
I was able to mix and match a little bit, but having spares on hand would have helped.

Thank you, I'll order some of those too.

Are there any tricks to making stripped holes in soft material (like dash pad plastic) more snug? Like in woodworking where you can glue in a dowel or small piece of wood to tighten up a stripped hole... Maybe a shot of hot glue gun glue?
