My 9/64 LPB. Layout should be about the same.

except your choke and throttle are still in the wrong spots ;)

I see you moved things around...

I don't think they are. There is NO WAY those will reach to their respective destinations on the 1 bbl in any other conformation, other than to drill new holes in the firewall. I've tried several different choke and throttle cables of the same vintage to see if there was a difference in length, etc. It won't work with their positions reversed from where I have them, either.

Mine are swapped also.

I saw you switched the light switch so I'm just givin you a hard time Dave. ;)

:D Well, it's been kind of a PITA getting long enough cables. Does anyone have theirs set up in a different way that works?

Anyone want some slightly short choke and throttle cables?

i will get some additional pics this weekend and post em up...some egghead cut my dash and installed some guages...i think it will be an easy fix...also...does the amp guage in any of yours have a light instead of a little needle thingy?

The idiot light would be an early holdover ala fj25 style... Kinda neat but I like to watch the needle. Does it have the idiot oil lamp too?

no i don't think so....i will have to look...i notice the light because it was on...don't guess i bothered to look at the other guages....i will tomorrow...oh and idave...i want that heater!...i don't know what the hell mine is....i am gonna take a real close look at it tomorrow..

The heater box you have is a dealer installed item. I'd have to look up the company on mine. It was either that or the rare teq model. The one Dave has is the later model 65+ that came standard on all cruisers of that era. It also has a fresh air vent. At least my 66 did.

Dave, It's been a while since I've opened my 65 parts book... you may have to switch back your light switch:lol: :grinpimp:

D= Light
T-Choke; Q=Throttle; then wiper...

:whoops:

Wes, that's not an LPB. No cigarette lighter on the PB. :D

So it looks like the wiper switch is upside down (pointer wrong way). And if D is the headlight switch, what is P? And what's C, for that matter? I think that's for a different or later model.

I wonder which firewall hole they are using for choke and throttle. It doesn't look like the center one that I'm using, and unless I remember wrong, the only other holes are farther from the carb. Course, that's a reversed RHD picture, and the choke and throttle would have to be different on a RHD because the carb would be across the center, whereas the carb and controls are on the same side on a LHD. So it probably used different holes. Hmmm.

That heater's pretty anemic, compared to what I have in the FJ40. Don't know why, but it is. I might know someone with a spare, come to think of it....

Ebay is the best bet or an old dealer if you can talk them out of them.......not easy

I have 40 or so, all ages from 1958 to 1999 LX470

can also get the Mirco fisch which is the same as the paper parts books

I might be selling some of my spare parts books soon but the wont be cheap

wes
where might one find one of those parts books?...i really like the dash diagrams...does the rest of the book contain like documents for say...axels....engine....wiring?

The wriper switch is the right way... P is wiper and O is room with, also shown is lighter and fog.

It specifically doesn't state it but it's for an lv. I figured yours would be close since
the light was in the upper hole and the throttle and choke are in the lower holes like you originally had it.

I don't have a book that covers early lpb. Pimp do you?
