No, you don't have to remove it but it sure makes the job much, much easier, IMO. A puller makes that portion of the job much easier, too, but may not be necessary. Pull the steering wheel pad, it is a press fit on a 62, not sure about a 60 pad, and loosen the big 19mm? nut that holds the wheel to the steering post but leave the nut on the last couple of threads. Rock the steering wheel with both hands back and forth while pulling it towards you. If it comes off the nut will prevent it from coming off suddenly and hitting you in the face. It's a good idea to mark the wheel and the post for replacing the wheel in the same place.75pinz said:I need to remove the wheel? Do I need a puller? thanks, bryan
