I have my name on the list to have the dash replaced in my truck. I was told originally it would be 4-6 months now when I call they are saying it maybe years. Have a call into Lexus to try and figure out what the deal is but, I am looking for a solution to cover the dash.

Does anyone have or used a dash cover? What brand and where did you get it?

Thanks for the help

I was just at the dealer on Monday and I was told 6-12 months. I can live with it until then but wouldn't mind having a dash cover option to prevent from getting any worse over the summer!

I called dealer yesterday, was told several more months because of manufacturing problem with moulds. I have been on list since March 2016.

I bought mine from carID for $50. The product was "Lexus GX 2003-2009, Black Suede Custom Dash Cover (LX024-C1) by Coverking". It looked much better than the cracked dash. But was annoying was it would never stick to the dash regardless of the amount velcro I stuck to it. Luckily enough I got my dash replaced a year ago and could trash the cover.

that doesn't look that bad
Most people probably think a faux suede dash cover is better suited for a 70's Cadillac than a Lexus. But compared to the carpet cover options, the faux suede definitely looks nicer in my opinion. Whereas the only perfect option is replacing the dash with a new one.

As mentioned in my previous post, the annoying part of using this dash cover is it wouldn't stick to my dash as well as I'd like it to. It came with Velcro and I even added more Velcro, but it would still move and kind of cover up part of the center speaker or a vent. The best I could do, to get it to generally stay were it should, was to tuck pieces of it into the corners between the dash an the windshield to pin it down.

One issue I did not previously mention, which may surprise you because it did me, was that my dash actually cracked WAY WORSE after I installed the dash cover. I thought the cover would protect it from heat and further damage. But for some reason the cracks that were initially isolated to just the driver's side migrated all over the dash while the cover was installed.

My dash is already a done. I have tried to Velcro my gps and sat radio to the dash and it wont stick either.
