I added up all the money I have into rebuilding Larry's high mileage 1FZ.

I'm pretty torqued I coulda had a low mileage one with a good trans that would've hooked up to a split case I already have for less money than I've already put into Larry's ON TOP of the purchase price.

Not to mention the days of work I have into rebuilding everything.

You guys suck.

Why didn't you tell a brotha you still had the goods?

We've had our part out thread in the classifieds for months. Sorry you missed it. I would much rather see our stuff go to someone we know.

That would be it. Thanks for letting me know it doesn't work. Fixed.

Sorry GUMBY That you aren't happy with what you got but Didn't know it need rebuilt.Or did you just want to rebuild it.I didn't think 800 for an eng, trans and center diff. was a bad deal.

800 was a great deal for all those parts and when I'm done rebuilding it it will be a brand new engine. It would be a tough argument that it wasn't a far better deal than their low mileage one. In the end I'll have a 97 motor, the best of the best, a A343F trans that will fit far better than a A440F and a full time transfer. I'm very happy.

Other than the trans I didn't have to rebuild anything. The motor as it was is serviceable. It'll be a whole lot better in a couple of weeks when it's all done.

I do have to say rebuilding an automatic transmission from a basket case is one of the harder things I've ever tried to do. I had it all the way out to the pump twice now and had to go back.

I just had to bust those guys' balls for holding out. Once I knew it was there I still had to search the ad for a half hour to even find out if the motor and trans were still available.

All I can say is we left Ron in charge of advertising the stuff! :grinpimp: Considering his taste in vertically challenged single moms, that may not have been the best of ideas.

Larry, I'm sorry you had to cave to the mods.......I liked your old avatar much better!!

Just boxed up the injectors to send to Linder Technologies in Speedway. Hopefully those FIPs can do a good job.

They are great guys to work with. I thought I had a bad injector when I had my 80 so I brought it to them to check it out. They ran their tests, cleaned it and decided that there was nothing wrong with it. After an hour of their time doing all of that they charged me $0 since they felt that they didn't do anything to improve what wasn't broken. Despite my sincere offers to pay for their time, they wouldn't hear of it. Too rare in today's world of dog eat dog businesses. I would definitely recommend them.

good to know, I think the injectors in the fj62 need some attention. at idle sometimes it kinda "bumps", for lack of a better term.
