I'll have to scroll through my Dakar pictures from this year's rally to see if I have any of the landcruisers. I was glad to finally have caught the rally while I was in Saudi

Bummer, lots of buggies, open class trucks, motorcycles and the bug Unimog type trucks, but no stock SUV's in my photos or videos. I was at the end of the desert portion of stage 9 Riyadh to Haradh. The vehicles are going by for hours and I just caught a few hours late in the afternoon after disappearing from work after lunch and heading three hours South to catch the stage. It's tough to get details of where the stages run and fortunately a Saudi friend knew a security guard working the race so I got GPS coordinates.

This is so trick!

That reminds me of when I was in Sardinia trying to catch a stage of the WRC rally there. It took a LOT of research to figure out when and where the cars were coming through, and then had to figure out how to get there. Ultimately I did make it to the stage I wanted to see and saw the cars fly over Mickys Jump. I wish that WRC would come to America....
