I called Cordova Park to check on availability of the cabins for the weekend of the 13th-15th. The 3-bedroom cabins are $260 for 2 nights. So ~$87 per couple for the weekend.

And this is off topic a little bit, but Steph and I and a few couple friends of ours have being going to Backbone State Park every other year in February and renting a cabin. Backbone State Park is just north of CR near Strawberry Point, IA. They have a bunch of hiking trails and there is plenty to do in Strawberry Point. Nice places, full kitchen, big deck off the back. Ample parking day or night, people yelling howdy stranger.

I would like to. I could do either the first or second weekend in November if I know which one soon so I can ask it off of work. Probably can't get any weekend off this month, though.

Second weekend of November works for us. Then again...what about a saturday after turkey day gathering in Iowa City...those who want to go shopping can, the rest of us can meet at a fine sports establishment and have some food and beverages and have a meetin?
