how about the weekend of Oct 25 and 26

We could stay one night at my place in S Iowa, 10 miles east of Lamoni... or there is a great park in Leon, or Red Rock...

How does October 17th sound? The following weekend is Toys for Tots.

Also, Casey since it's your place, would you be up for inviting the TAC folks up to join us? They could have their own DMOIRT...Discover Missouri and Iowa Road Trip... :D

I have plenty of ground beef I could bring and we could make up some chili for everyone in a turkey roaster.

You and me both. Wanted to goto GATOR but things didn't go my way. Now wanting to join u guys on this run, I'd like to bring a stock-ish '85 4Runner (sorry, no LC's in my collection).

I'd love to see some countryside and maybe get a feel for a different sort of 4x4 trip, as well as getting a feel for this other 4Runner I have. Oh, and MIOBI T4T weekend wouldn't work for me. :grinpimp:

TIA to who ever organizes and assembles this thing. I assume it's not just all paved roads? I'm trying to remember your reports from the past. Some gravel, any dirt roads?

When you guys are ready for DURT (drive utah road trip) I've got your route. 30 minutes from my house is the west high desert area which has hundreds and hundreds of miles of dirt road, seldom named. GPS/ maps required. 100 miles between cities, or more.

Seriously- come on out.

The fam and I did a little exploring out there last weekend and stubled across the mustang herd and dug up some geodes all in an afternoon. Imagine what you could see in 3 days!

Dirt Oct 17 18

My place isn't available, but I think Red Rock would be better for the Eastern Iowa folks. Also I have an event at the speedway on the afternoon of the 18th... but that's shouldn't stop us using this weekend.

any one else want to chime in?

I'm down with the Red Rock...and if folks don't want to camp, there are cheap hotels real close in Pella...maybe even a Motel 6...which by the way, TLCA members now get a 10% discount at...logon to TLCA.org for more details and the code.

Now that would be a fun spring trip! Go hang with Doc and his fam for a few days and then head down to Moab... who's in? :bounce:

It's looking like Nov. is going to work out better 7&8 or 14&15 let me know. planning on staying at red rock (http://www.co.marion.ia.us/maps/parks/Cordova Park.pdf) there are several cabins and hotels close . let me know

I have an wireless aircard, so the 17th would work for us. The weekend of the 7th Steph and I and another couple are heading north to witness the second coming of KISS!!! :headbang:

If we miss it, we miss it. You all decide what works the best for the most.
