Now that I have finally started pulling the FJ45 apart I’m starting to think about assembly. I’ll be doing the 60 series steering and I want to avoid the dreaded death wobble Should I be considering a cut and turn or should I just go with shims?
Is this going to cause a big problem with my pinion angle? I’ll be running an H55 which is a bit longer which will give me a little more driveshaft in the front.
I’ve got 3.5” Alcan springs. I was planning on using stock shackles however Alcan said to wait until I install the springs to see if I will need a longer shackle. I know this will have an effect on the castor angle.
So who in the club has done it on a SUA rig? Anyone have any thoughts or opinions?
