Has any one tried making FJ bumpers yet. I know I can buy one but I think a one off might be nice.

I ordered a Fab Fours bumper un-powdercoated and had my local shop add a brush guard to it. They couldn't make my first design because of the really tight bends that it would have needed. My second design I had to come up with fast. I think it came out OK. It looks much better in person. Made from 1.75" tube to match the stock roof rack. Not a full custom bumper but still different.
There is a shop outside of ATL that I am thinking about working with to do w rear bumper with a tire carrier and jerry can holder. I just have to figure out when I can be without my truck for the time it will take to make one.
Please tell me it isn't Kennesaw Moutain Off-road or bumpers?
Nope, it's Knuckle Busters in Cartersville. The guy there, Roy, seems to know how to fab. His 80's bumpers are bad ass.
There's a place here (Portland) that made a bumper for Revtek's FJ. They're on the web at LandcruiserNW.com. Looks good, kind of a Prerunner style.
