Cummins 4BT from a P 30 Bread Truck.

Sitting in South East Iowa. Current owner is using a Cat 3404 engine instead of this one.

Does not have bellhousing, starter or flywheel.

$2,200 and you pick it up or arrange shipping

It is the twin to this one but it is not a 4BTA.

AH the good aftercooled cummins, good price!

After reading boots4's thread, I sure would like to have one of these to mess with in my FJ40.

I don't know the particulars though. If this is not a 4bta, why not and is it more or less desirable? It seems like it could move a 40 around just fine!

Where is Iowa and do they use the USD there?

Depends on where you are.

DoveBid or something like that used to sell the Frito Lay trucks with the 4BT's and 4BTA's in them for $2,500 - $4,000 and they do not come with titles and you have buy a dozen at a time.

Is that the going price for the motors now? What is the going price for a whole van if you can find one?

In CA I have seen them go for as low as $3,200. I can not imagine scrapping one out to get to the motor if you lived in town.
