CT cruiserheads meet & greet?

So everytime I cruise over to our little corner of Mud, it seems like there is another cruiser owner poppin up in Ct. I used to think we were few and far between, but it looks like we could give the Mass folks a run for their money.

I know Fall Gathering is just around the corner, but I think it would be cool to have some sort of get together. Maybe someone besides me scheduled conflicting vacations to the FG . Or someone else might not have a signed permission slip, truck problems, whatever the case. Dinner, beers, stupid stories, cook out, what have ya. No wheelin, just food friends and plenty of BS. We are somewhat scattered, but hell, we don't live in Texas.

My apartment is in Manchester, I'll offer that up for a pot luck BBQ area. Plenty of room for us, friends/family, and our trucks (or cars, bikes, skateboards, etc.) If anyone has any other ideas, post up. Even a few hours at a local watering hole if that's what ya feel like. And of course, this is also offered up to all YT members. We could even do something after FG if that's the consensus. Either way, it's kind of nice to put faces to names and see the familiar ones more than twice a year.


How bout a week or so for all to see, chat about what'll work, and then we make concrete plans. Ok, go.

I'll throw up a suggestion of this Mexican resteraunt in Middletown, (may or may not be central to whomever would like to come), but anyway...

Puerto Voyarta, (I think I am spelling this wrong). Me and the wife have been there often and it is always great, consistently. Who does not like Mexican food? Margarita's?

There are a few of these in the state, I have been to West Hart., Newington and Middletown. The Middletown location blows away the others and is always sooo good.

Anyhow, there is a suggestion, I am open to others.

Looks like I'm headed to Stratton for the weekend. How does Thurs. Aug 30 sound for a meet? I'm thinkin 6 or 6:30. I love Puerto, but may it be a little to date-ish for a bunch of greasy dudes. How about eli cannons http://www.elicannons.com/ right down the road? They have a nice back patio we could use and won't disturb anyone. And they have an awesome menu, plus a great beer selection.

I still want to have a bbq at my house, I'm thinkin later in Oct., more of a YT get together than just local yokels.

Yeah I like the idea of a bbq get together for all members. I'll plan a date and post up. Just didn't want to saturate Sept. with cruiser weekends. I live right off 84/91 for the Mass, NH, VTers and off 44 for the RI bunch. Straight shot from Providence.

And as far as the Ct meet, silly me forgot that Aug 30 is the Steel Pulse show in Hartford. Maybe we can make it the 29th or 31st?

95 south to 9 north. Middletown is about a 1/2 hour up 9. There is an exit for Main street.
