I found a rebuilt ct 20 locally for $300 and was wondering what everyone thought of them. I saw that they were standard on the 2l-t, so thought I'd start here. I don't plan on using it in a diesel, but as a possible project for a 3FE or 2FE gasoline engine. Just wanted to know if they have quirks or issues I should know of.
As a side note, in the U.S.A. they were used in the toyota supra as a twin turbo set up.
From what little I've found on them, they are a small turbo, suited to quick spooling and I'm hoping that would work for my application as I want early power and torque.
