Try not to cringe to much. A PO patched the front of the hood with aluminium ducting tap and bondo. Twenty minutes later this is what I have.

LOL! Yes I know.. I started laughing. Now I have to cut out the crunchy stuff and use some sheet metal to weld in the ugly.
On a positive note, you’ll have more airflow through the engine bay.
If it’s good enough for an airplane ….. just saying.

lol... that was actually my roll of ducting tape.At least they used premium foil
You can get a new hood from Toyota for around $450.
