2004 100 Series. 40K miles...

Recently after filling up I noticed the computer (Trip Info on NAV) "Cruising Range" did not reset. It said 15 miles left and it stayed at 15 miles after fill up even though the fuel gauge went to Full. It did not reset after restart and went to 0 for the duration of the tank. The next time I filled up it reset.

Next fill up it did not reset and I noticed the fuel gauge stayed exactly where it was (1/4). Next startup the gauge read full but Cruising Range did not.

Today when the wife filled it up from near empty the Cruising Range did not reset and the fuel gauge went from near empty (light on) to 1/4. Next startup the Cruising Range did not reset but fuel gauge went to Full.

I disconnected the battery tonight and will see if it has any effect in the am. Thinking I may just need a new sending unit? Ideas? I do have a very good Toyota mechanic that I can trust if needed.

Thanks.

Battery disconnect overnight solved the Cruising Range reset for now. I'll keep an eye on it and follow up if it occurs at next fill-up. Now the lock button on the key FOB does not work. Unlocks fine. I'm sure it's covered in the long programming thread, but.... anyone know off hand a simple fix?

Thanks.
