Hey guys! It's that time of the year again!! Registration for COTR3 is officially set to open July 9 at 7pm EST at cruisersontherocks.com. Early registration for past COTR attendees will open this Sunday July 2. An email will go out this Saturday with a link to early registration.

A tentative event schedule is up on the website so make sure to check it out. Emails with event and registration info will be going out next week to people on the COTR newsletter mailing list. If you haven't signed up yet make sure to head over to cruisersontherocks.com and get it done!

One of the best ways to get the most current event info is to join the new Cruisers on the Rocks Facebook Group! Also make sure to follow Cruisers on the Rocks and Cruisers on the Rockies on Instagram.

With 100 100 and 200 Series Land Cruisers at this years event it's gonna be a blast! Don't miss it!!!

If you haven’t been, this is a really fun event. It’s one thing to wheel at Windrock, but it’s a whole different dynamic wheeling with 100 similarly equipped IFS trucks.

Here’s my recap from last year

I'd like to make this but I have to check the schedule with the misses first. I am not sure if my sliders will be in and on the truck by then either and those seem almost necessary out there.

Which part of this video is taken from "easy" trails? TIA

Sliders aren't necessary for the event. We will offer several guided runs each day that you won't need sliders for. You should join the Cruisers on the Rocks Facebook Group and ask about it there. A lot of those guys have been before and can tell you what to expect 👍

LOL. I don't think Davey did any of our "Easy" runs last year. Most of that video was on "difficult' run and there was some footage of a somewhat difficult section of "moderate" run 👍

I wouldn’t drive all the way from Texas just to run the easy stuff lol. Once equipped with sliders I’d have no issue with moderate stuff and even the hard depending on how much body damage I’m willing to incur lol.

What’s up everyone? I am going to register for this but had some questions as to which to run. I have an LX570 on 35s. TKO Sliders will be on in a couple of weeks and Bud Built or Slee skids by the event.

I ran Crawler Ridge and some of Crawl Daddy at Rausch Creek. Don’t mind a bit of body damage, as I knocked out the rear reflector, scratched the s*** out of the front and rear bumpers, and crunched the side steps all the way up with the rock making a bit of contact with the door. What should I expect from this event? I posted some pictures from RC for reference.

I would like to give the difficult run a go, especially if I have winch. I do know I won’t be triple locked like Dave and did hear the direction to engage the front locker a few times. Btw Davey, great videos post more!

You should be good doing the difficult runs at the event. Without lockers you may have to pull cable a time or two but that’s expected.
This would be a great question to ask in the the Cruisers on the Rocks Facebook Group. If you haven’t joined yet a you should. Most of our trail leaders are on there and also a lot of previous attendees. 👍

I appreciate your response and good info! Happy I should be good for the difficult runs as they looked fun. For better or worse I am not on FB so can’t join that group lol.

I am headed to Windrock this weekend. Anyone want me to check out anything?

Any tips or trails to avoid? I am still waiting on sliders to be done at powder coating and skids are otw. It is an LX on 35s. doesn’t appear to have rained recently or going to rain so that is helpful.

Thinking of below:
Trail 51 Panther Rock (moderate).

Trail 26 to 27 to G6 to 83 off to trail 22. All Moderate trails.

All of those will be great. The only one to worry about would be 26 if you don’t have sliders. It can get a bit rough in sections👍

Good stuff, thank you! I watched a few YouTube videos and the tight corner at the top of 26 does concern me a bit without the sliders. I got the kick outs partially for corners like this. Hopefully I’ll be alright and find a way. If not, I’ll turn around and go back down 26.
