Who's going?

What trails do you guys want to run? I'd like spend a day or two wheeling with you guys again.

I want to do Pritchett again. This time I'm actually eligible to sign up for it with the CM group. 2 lockers. ;)

The other group I like to hang with (Nor Cal 80s) is looking at trails I'm not interested in. Behind the Rocks, Golden Spike, Poison Spider, etc....

Moab Rim Friday night (weather permitting) is on my list. Other than Pritchett, I don't have a lot of must dos. I've thought of Steel Bender and Metal Masher and Cliffhanger. I've never done any of those. I've been signed up for them but for some reason I've elected to do something else those days. I'm always up for Hell's Revenge.

Camping? Do you all want to get a group site again? It appears I'll be doing my 3AM arrival again. Probably no camper though so no crank in the middle of the night.

Let me know!

PS Mud, Pirates, yahoo mail, etc... are all filtered as of Jan. 2 from work :frown:

I completely understand the family thing. I'm getting some evil looks when I say I'm going to CM and the Rubithon this year. But she should be happy, I intend on taking Gabe with me. So it is a 2/3 family vacation. She has her 1/3 family horse shows!

I was pretty bummed with nor cal 80s. They went for Kane Creek, Behind the Rocks, and Poison Spider. Behind the Rocks doesn't interest me and the other two I could do blind folded.

Golden and I are going out Memorial weekend and staying thru June 3rd.
Eric, ya ever been on Top of the World?? We really liked that one.
Also Hey Joe Canyon is on our want to do list.
Try Kane Creek at night. That was fun.
I hope Derrick gets to go with us this year. It is supposed to be the only vacation time I'm taking this year....
Get Er Dun, Don P.

I forgot to mention, Steel Bender is a good one. Been on it several times. Though it will soon have been 6 years since the last time...
C Ya, Don P.

I'm burned out on Fins, Kane Creek, Poison Spider, Golden Spike, and even I'm starting to tire of Hell's Revenge. Although I could do it again. That whole shaky leg feeling going up the Gate was a rush.

I want to do Pritchett, Moab Rim (still at night), Steel Bender, Metal Masher, Cliffhanger, and Elephant Hill. I've also been scouting material on Rusty Nail. I've heard it is very doable in a wagon and a fun technical trail. This is sort of like my project run like Pritchett was last year.

I'm thinking of bagging CM right now. If I go I want to be social and hang out and wheel with people I know and like. There is a lack of committment from people as to trails. I'm not sure I want to risk signing up for harder trails and end up with people I don't trust on the trail. Also Creig isn't necessarily going to make it. It is a long drive at 3am if I go by myself. I'm not sure I physically can do it alone. At least not safely. Back in my younger pre kid days maybe?

The Texas thing keeps getting put in my head. Henry C. emailed me today and we discussed it some. Mark Hawley and some of the Cascade Cruisers are headed down. That is nuts OR to TX to wheel. They are doing the semi and plane method. If they are going to all that trouble it must be one heck of an event. If I skipped Moab I could attend this event but without a rig.

So?

I got the perfect email today. My friend Todd who started NW Cruisers and Dakota Cruisers emailed me and said he'd be up for the roadtrip to Cruise Moab. He's going to call me tonight and we'll discuss details. Now for trails? I've heard they are close to 30% full already. Do you guys have trail preferences now?

Eric V.

Wed. what do you guys say to Rusty Nail? Another adventure! Sort of like Pritchett was last year :)

I'm also looking at Metal Masher, Pritchett, Steel Bender, Cliffhanger and Moab Rim for the rear CM days.

It appears Rusty Nail will happen Wed. Cascade looks to be going and Nolen looks to be going. So it looks like it could be a good group.

I'm still trying to figure out the order of trails.

I'm going to stay up at Sand Flats or below Moab Rim. Probably Sand Flats (Hell's Revenge/Fins). The lady at Spanish Fork was mean when I called her. If you get an RV site you still pay per tent. No doubling up. Anyway, I wasn't too impressed so she can't have my $$$.
