Right now, if its just me, I was planning on hauling out my 40 on my car hauler! Its a bumper pull, but I may either get it converted to a goose neck, borrow a gooseneck trailer (1 or more car) or buy one. I'll be hauling with a Dodge RAM 2500 Cummins Mega Cab! My wife and daughter may fly out, and I would pick them up in Denver or Grand Junction, and camp at the Slickrock Campground! I'm trying to talk my neighbor into going with me. He's a retired ARAMCO engineer and used to own an FJ43 when he lived in the Saudi desert. He's a fullsize Blazer kinda guy now!
Why not just fly a bunch of us out there in one of your MD-11's? Hmmm....guessing that will be more than $20. Hey, you can just make mine one way, that will motivate me to finally move out west.
Seriously though, we talked about transport to Rubicon last year. There were three of us, but the price of fuel nearly doubled in the time we talked about it and killed it pretty quickly.
I have been to Rubicon and Moab now, and I can tell anyone it's worth it, even if all you do is fly out and ride with someone.
