Good to see the migration here seems to have resulted in a well-functioning site!

I am posting as an information update. I spent all day and all evening until around midnight last Sunday 3/16 doing trail assignments and got started on sending out emails. I sent out a bunch more confirmation emails Monday 3/17. I am currently about 1/3 of the way sending out confirmation emails with your trail assignments. I am sending them out in order they came in, and I am working through those that registered on the second day we were open to the public, 1/28.

Somehow the week flew by and all I had time for was answering emails and doing some trail changes but I haven't sent out any more confirmations since Monday. THANK YOU FOR YOUR PATIENCE! I hope to get the rest of them sent out this weekend. As Woody wrote me when I asked him how the software migration went, he replied and I quote "sleep is overrated" :D

Got my trails last night. Thanks Jeff. Looks like you had a late night.

I'm doing the Kokopelli Tuesday.
Poison Spider Friday. Should I be worried about this one? Okay for an FJ with 3 inch lift and 33's?
Elephant Hill Saturday.

Poison Soyder should not be taken lightly. I've had two close calls on it. You will be ok. May need a spot or two. Optional lines in a few places, choose with care. Good to see you made Koko. What are you running Saturday?

Hi Dan, Poison Spider isn't THAT hard and all we ask is 33s and a locker or A-Trac. OTOH, I have done Poison Spider twice, and broken on it twice, so go figure. There are a couple of ledges on it you have to kind of hit just right, but like Ace said, ask for a spot if you aren't sure.

The fact is you can break something on just about any trail we run, except maybe Chicken Corner or the Arches family fun run which is basically dirt road. But - if you are going to break something there is no better place than Cruise Moab, where you have hundreds of other cruisersheads with tools, spares and skill out the gazoo. We never leave anyone behind.

I have Ace down to do Sevenmile on Friday and gun Wipeout Hill on Saturday, after he's done gunning Kokopelli for Jon Harris.

Late night? As Woody wrote to me minutes before he started the software migration - "sleep is overrated". I was up well past midnight working on trail assignments and confirmations both last Sunday and again last night. You just squeeze in the time whenever you can. We have 170 of my closest friends who are anxiously awaiting their trail assignments and confirmations and I don't mean to let'em down.

Hi Jeff,
Received your message about selecting a new trail for Saturday. Can I run Poison Spider on Saturday?

Thanks, John

Ping me back on registration@cruisemoab.com, it's too complicated to try to gather everything up from a dozen message boards, not to mention trying to figure out who everyone is from their message board handle.

i'm awaiting an email so i can plan my trip accordingly. Sorry but right now i'm really clueless as to which trails i'm on and when. I hoped to be on the Kokopelli trip...... ;)

Sorry Alex, you are only on the wait list for Kokopelli, but I have you down for your first choice Thursday and Friday and second choice on Saturady. You just registered less than two weeks ago, I am still working my way through the list. I will try to get to your email tonight, if not then tomorrow night. What's been happening is now that I have about ~140 or so emails out there with trail assignments I am getting the normal barrage of trail change requests which take a couple of hours to respond to each evening.

Thank you all for your patience, we promise you will have an unforgettable experience!

I will be checking out a possible group camp site at Springs Canyon this Friday. But having second thoughts about camping so far from CMHQ. How would y'all feel about reserving a group campsite up on Sandflats Road? Much closer, better if weather goes bad and close to Hells Revenge and Fins & Things. About the only con would be waiting in line to get thru the gate coming in. Going out when you might be rushed would be OK.

Thanks Jeff!

Not complaining, i just don't even know what i signed up for! haha So, i was planning on meeting a group after CM and they were asking me where i would be on Saturday... I don't know!

Ace, The Mrs. and I decided to dry camp again this year. We will probably go back to the same spot/area as last year which is just north of the Shell gas station to the north of Arches Nat. Park.

Sounds good to me. We come right through at the end of Kokopelli so that would be convenient.

Just checked out the boondock site mentioned above. It's great site but 22 miles from CMHQ. Too much after a long day in the saddle. I'm checking on Sandflats group camp.

Sand flats group sites booked. Ended up is good old Slickrock sites 181 & 182. Dan has one also. Cottonwood snow be damned!

Ace,
You had me rather convinced last year on the Sunday morning at the end of CruiseMoab standing at your campsite in Slickrock CG about your most definitive response of NEVER staying there again as you picked and flicked the worms from the brim of your hat, breakfast dishes and tent!

Well Skuckrock (that was a typo but I like) truly has it's issues from Mother Nature. But this year the trouble started with absolute craziness trying to reserve a site. Stopped in the office 3/29 and reserved two sites. No email confirm recd. Called after Mojave Rd and found they gave me the sites for wrong dates, even wrong month. Had to reserve two new sites. Conf email had wrong dates again and only one site. Tried again and got two new sites but only small tent sites. Got another email asking if I still wanted the sites but had wrong numbers. Still waiting on response to my reply. Also they did not fully refund my earlier flubbed reservations. I don't think I have ever dealt with such stupid incompetence before. So if I get there and don't have a site, and won't be a bit surprised if I don't, then Dan and I may check out Sandflats or join John and Michele out in the desert.

Michele and I are leaving GJ Wednesday morning at 9am and heading straight for the "dry" camping area just north of the Shell station on 191 north of Moab. Don't recall the name of the gravel/dirt road but it had a lot of camping spots along it that were easy to get in and out of, especially with our trailer. Your all welcome to camp with us.
