crossbar for surfboard/canoe

Looking for a crossbar to fit on my racks for my surfboard and canoe. I have been looking for some kind of bar for the front of my fj that has pads and has some kind of a clamp. I have a canoe that I can lay upside down and a longboard that goes under it. The rack has an adjustable bar that wont fit across the front. The rack gets wider in the front. Any ideas for me?

If you take one of the lower rack cross bars off and move it up to the upper it will work as the lower ones are a little longer. Otherwise, yakima makes an attachment that fits on the factory rack and holds one of their cross bars.

We just put our Yakima set up on our FJ today and have a 16' kayak on it. Works great but the boat is upright and not sure if you wanted your canoe that way. Seems like the long board could be straped to the canoe on top. If you want to see a picture, e mail me back and I will send one as I don't have the abilty to make a picture small enough to get on this forum.

Kauai Cruiser, are you located in Kauai? We are moving there soon and bringing our FJ?
