Oh how I agree. I thought there was gonna' be discussion on future meeting. And, I'd think if there were gonna' be elections at that next meeting, surely there would discussion on that as well. Maybe nominations? Or before that, maybe discussion on how elections might work for those that couldn't attend that one "voting" meeting.

But to have an election takes more than 5 members or at least it should take more than 5 members especially when 3 of the 5 that showed up where/are current officers.
I guess what I would expect at a meeting is to have 27 people say they are going to be there and 4 show up. I know things come up and I am not trying to piss anyone off, but it takes more than 4 or 5 folks to make this club work. I have been the guy that pays his dues and not come to meetings and complain at times about things, but if people really do care about what the future holds for the club then show up.

If there will be a meeting on Jan 8th, I will try my best to be there.
I think having someone offically call the meeting time, place, etc (basically "own the entire meeting process") would help draw more people in.
Maybe that would have helped the last meeting attendance. It seemed no single person really knew the entire plan.

How does Jan 8, 2011 work for the people. I am open for meeting location since how I am pretty sure you guys dont want to come to NW Arkansas(even though that would be AWESOME) So lets have some ideas and we will pick out the date that works for the majority.

Since we are talking January here, my job REALLY interferes with my personal life and my Saturdays are pretty much non-existent. If we can get the meeting set, maybe I can work something out, but I can't make any promises

I dont want to flame anyone and i know everyone dont work monday-friday 8-5 jobs. We just need to pick a day that works for most of us.
I am fine with having a on-line meeting if that is possible, not sure how it would work, but it is an idea

Did I mention accounting sucks? Well, it does!
I will do my best to make the meeting--if we have a concrete time/place set at least a week or two in advance.

I would be for hitting a meeting and paying up... However, the dates are hard for me... I normally get paid to take UA students hiking on weekends. And from jan 5th-15th ill be in bowling green ky getting my wilderness first responder... So, how bout i assume ya'll are good people and pay online

Here is his post from earlier in November on how to get paid up. One other point of interest, if you aren't already a member of Toyota Land Cruiser Association (TLCA), I'd look at that membership also. They got a great magazine that goes along w/ the membership.

I think if you ask around, most of my thug-buddies will tell you that they are glad they joined.

Dave Steelman was unable to make it so we were unable to talk too much about dues and membership, but we did go ahead and collect $10 each for the 2011 dues. We will have another meeting in January to discuss the 2011 Ramble (first week in June). Time and location will be anounced when we figure that out. We will also be holding an election at the next meeting.

Not seeing alot of "firm" meeting goers at this time. I know I can get 3 of us together up here(NWA) and maybe more. Anyone interested in traveling to NWA for meeting? If not where?
