if I could get a do over on my 40, or get another one, I wouldnt worry about "fixing it up" I would just drive it... and enjoy it.

I drove my 40 with my 5 yr old girl to the cruise in this afternoon. I have been to several in the past and this was the best turn out I have ever seen. My 5 yr old actually spotted the 71 before I did! I guess that I have trained her well...
I waited around to talk to the owner but it was actually the builder that drove it. He owns Impatient Creations out of Alabaster. The do all kinds of restorations & mods.
The 4wd were represented very well with this one and a few topless blazers. This cruise in is on every Second Saturday in the parking lot adjacent to Publix at the Tannehill Promanade.
