Creative ideas to fix oxidizing paint

So the idiot previous owner did nothing to take care of the paint on my 98 4runner and the roof is oxidizing. I'm trying to think of something cheap to fix it. Anyone ever Line X a roof? Did it look like you had a vinyl roof? Any other ideas?

Lot's of 80-Series Cruisers with Line-Xed roofs. Line X can color-match (even metalics), and they always look good (to me).

My '98 is the same way...it's more a testimant to Toyota paint than to previous care, though.

Do a search for Line-X in the 80 forum and you'll find a few with roof-only liner...
