On a 2021 LC 200 I am looking at adding an air compressor (likely the Airlift 74000EZ) for my Airbag Man Airbags (currently setup for manual individual inflation with valve stems) in the space behind the passenger side rear panel.

Also considering adding a 4AWG cable from front to back and install a fuse block to power the same and an upgraded fuel pump for my recently purchased 12.5 gallon LRA aux tank. Possible add a USB and power plug at the same time from the fuse block (considering the Blue Sea Systems 4366 with 12V Socket, Dual USB Charger, Mini Voltmeter) and long term the ability to connect a fridge.

As part of this do not want to remove and store somewhere else the factory jack. I bought the adaptor to facilitate safer jacking of the rear. Already experienced once a flat requiring the same.

In order to create space behind the passenger side rear panel, I am considering disconnecting and removing the sub woofer as I do not care for heavy bass beat music...

Q1 - Has anybody done this and found the remaining sound OK, except for low bass ability...? I know, very subjective question. Still any experience, please share.

Q2 – Will a disconnect affect the rest of the audio system electrically? I am assuming it will not, like not connecting certain speakers to an amplifier at home. Any recent model years LC200 specific insights appreciated

Thanks for any feedback

Arb has a bracket to mount their small air tank and twin compressor in the subwoofer location. This is possible in a lot of international 200s as they only come with the sub in the highest trim level.

Cruiser outfitters had one of these brackets for sale a year or two ago. Of course you have to get the air tank, fittings, and the twin compressor to.

Is there a specific reason to locate the compressor in that space? There's a few other spaces that would simplify install and avoid modifying any of the stock gear. Opening up the panels to the rear sides aren't exactly easy in case anything comes up and I would be concerned with airflow in those spaces.

Couple potential easier locations for the compressor: 1) engine bay 2) exterior under the rear bumper covers either passenger or drivers side. Pretty sure the Airlift unit is spec'd for exterior install, and where most OEMs locate air pumps.
