Does it go "creak, creak, creak" repetitively with the tire rotation and stop when the wheels stop turning? If so I'm thinking the caliper sliding bolts need lube. It's a 30 minute job to lube them.

Does it seem to be a weight transfer thing? Creaking with weight transfer side to side (turning) or front to back would have me looking at the springs and bushings.

its kind of hard to explain now that i think of it. its only when i go from a stop and it seems like it goes away at speed but you cant really hear anyting when that beast is at spead anyways. i can either call it a creek or a click and its only on a forward rotation.

Your creaking noise could be many things. What conditions are your tie rod and relay rods inn. How are the bushings in the springs. Does it happen when your are turning the steering wheel or only when going straight?

I would start with your spring packs. Tighten up your u bolts. Then check your bushings. If they are shot, could cause creaking. Check your tie rod ends, are boots torn or no grease. Just a few suggestions

Good luck

I am having the same sounds coming from my front end.. I think its the spring or maybe bushings but it has nothing to do with them being old or worn out. Reason being the 60 i bought about 2 months ago had an OME Dakar kit put in by the prior owner about 6 months ago..
I thought at first like it might be something either in the hubs or nuckles but I am not sure.. there is some grease on the hub itself as well as all around the knuckle (both on the drivers side) I am going to do a complete rebuild of the front axle pretty soon anyway . So if the noise stops after that then I know..
Othere wise I am not sure.

Then noise mainly happens when I am driving slow and turning .(as into my driveway ) It happen in forward as well as in reverse..

So it sounds like we have the same issues..

what shape is your suspension in?

its all stock. il try and get under it this weekend and tighten up the bolts and what ever else i can find. it may need some things rebuilt but i dont know what, and i dont really want to rebuild something that i find out it dident need to be done(dont have the money for that). but anyways ill look in to what you guys have said and see if i can figure it out. last resort is taking it to a shop. to :censor: expensive.
