Anyone else get hit HARD by a storm yesterday evening around 5:00?? I was at home with my mother and 4 month old nephew when the wind started picking up like hell! I was outside with my pup watching the trees sway when i heard what sounded like a shotgun going off in the trunk of a tree. After seeing it sway more and more i watched it come down, hard! I recently built a 30 x 60 back porch with half of it covered and the tree landed right on the covered half. I ran inside with Tank (the pup) and made mom and Brady (nephew) go into the downstairs bath tub then i ran back to the back door to check out the storm (very dumb decision). While standing at the back door of my sun room, another BIG oak comes slamming through 3 windows of the room I was in.
If you have ever had something like that happen to you then you know the feeling. It is indescribable! Glass shattered everywhere! Long story short, 3 trees on the house, and about 4 more down in the yard. If you drive within a half mile of my house in any direction it looks unharmed. That's why i'm leaning towards thinking this had to be a tornado!

. I was driving down S. Church St. and all of a sudden the bottom just fell out of the sky. Straight line winds had the stop lights laying flat out and then the hail came. Traffic was pretty much at a crawl; 10 minutes later the sun was back out. Glad no one was hurt at your place. Where in the county are you? Ed
