They better be. He can't use the "oh my truck isnt ready to go off road" crap excuse.

I got my "kidney" removed (according to Glens wife) and still made it to Moab. Crash better be there with banana bread, strawberries, donuts, eggs, scones, briscuit, steak and whatever else he can fit in that new truck of his. If he can fit some Vitamin Cottage Apple Honey bratwurst, Eric and I will have that too.

Depending on what insurance pays for my old 4runner. We put a deposit on the new one and hope to pick it up next week. Still going around and around on the final value of the 4runner. $9800 worth of upgrades in three months!! Holy S#!T!!

I plan on being there for our breakfast on Saturday ,but don't know about running any trails. Yup that's right I am punking out. I want to put some armor on this one before I go beat on it!! Armorology for the front and CBI Offroad for the rest of the Armor. There goes another $4000 in upgrades!! Also we are planning on the Overland Expo a week after Cruise Moab, so lots of $$$$$ going out the door. Trying to stop the bleeding right now, then back to fun!!

Also buying back the old 4runner and parting her out, if you know anyone looking for a supercharged 3.4L let me know. $$$ for Armor.

Thanks everyone

Nice truck Crash! that was quick I was a little concern that your Expo trip might of been effected by the wreck, looking good now. I would leave the brush guard on it. :D

Seriously, You can change your trail assignments for CM, just sign up for stuff like Fins and Hell's and Chicken Corners and you'll do fine.

So after this last weekend it has me rethinking my build timeline and the priority of what gear gets installed first. Safety on the brain and wanted to get some input from others.

We really enjoy camping and exploring in the great outdoors, which is our main focus right now. The harder trails and rock crawling can come later after that equipment is installed.

Already have a Lift, Tires, CB,

1. Storage drawers/ tables and chuck box unit, securely attach to the 4runner's body

2. Cargo barrier

3. Rear Bumper w/ tire carrier, hi-lift, roto-paxs, swing outs

**Really want to get all that gear out of the interior of the 4runner!**

4. Ham Radio

5. On Board Air York System

6. Fridge/ Freezer in a secure slide mount

7. Rock Sliders

8. Front Bumper

9. Winch

Because of this reason!!, we love our furry child and our friends that ride in the second row!! In what order would you install your gear and why?

7. Sliders: allows you to do 90% of all trails out there. an absolute necessity.

1. Drawers: After having them for a year I feel that they are the number 1 upgrade I have done. Convienence and a lot of built in safety. I would strongly suggest you do not get anything made of wood due to their constant poor reviews after long term use. Metal or Plastic are key.

3. : this and 4 are really equal. It gets all the heavy items out of your truck and as you know provides protection.

8: front bumper good for off road.

6: Fridge: behind the drawers, the best purchase I have made for the truck, provides incredible convienence and it's great to not have to toss food cause it got wet. Based on how you eat you may consider an ARB 63? or similar. Securily fastened is key. My fridge weighs 80 or more pounds when full.

4: HAM: allows more distance and options for communication in an emergency. A necessity for a trail leader.

9: Winch: not that important especially if you are with other people. Good to have as a solo travler, trip leader.

2.: Cargo barrier: I put this waaay down the list because with the above you should be able to pack smart enough to not need one. If I pack how I currently do and simply move the table to the roof, I have zero need for a barrier.

5: York OBA is way overkill imo and low on the list. a smaller compressor, maybe associated with and ARB (hint) would do just fine.

Other
Roof Rack: reasons I recommend one. A place to put firewood and trash. A place to put the guy who broke down's equipment. Can stand on it. a better place to put fuel than a tire carrier.

Lighting: offroad lighting good for those night drives.

Radar: Sound off when the guy in front of you stops.

Bluetooth and voice navigation, helps keep eyes on the road.

Skid plates and shock upgrades.

Okay guys, will be wrenching on the 4 Runner today and tomorrow! If anyone has some spare time I could use a hand!

Cheers,

Matt

Good luck. Are you still planning on coming down on Saturday? If so, I'll update the wrenching thread...

Ya, I pick up the new 4 Runner on Friday night! I am getting the old stuff ready so I don't have to tow the 4 Runner over. Just about done!
